The concentration of the conjugated bile acid,
cholylglycine, in serum is a
sensitive and specific indicator of hepatic function.serum cg is one of important factors to evaluate the fetal condition in uterus with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.this finding has a reference value for early rehabilitation and intervention after the fetal was born that can be tested quantitatively.
Hepatic dysfunction occurs commonly in children with sickle cell disease (SCD). Although the etiology is multifactorial, cholestasis is a prominent feature. Serum cholylglycine (CG) has been found to be a very sensitive indicator of cholestasis.
